How to lower sounds in FNV?

Post by Arkngt » Wed Sep 30, 2015 5:50 pm

I'm trying to make the sounds of MMM Iguanas lower (i.e. more quiet), but I can't figure out how to do it with FNV. In FO3, I simply upped the Static Attenuation for the molerat sounds, which quieted down the Iguanas as they had the same sounds. In the FNV/TTW version of MMM they have their own sounds, but there's no difference at all when I up the Static Attenuation. Here's how it looks in FNVEdit.

Anyone who knows what might be up with this? Does sound work completely different in the FNV engine - or is it something else that might be the issue in this particular case?

I think it works the other

I think it works the other way around, lowering it makes it quieter.

No, it's upping it. I've made

No, it's upping it. I've made several FO3 mods quieting down things so I know that. Also, when editing it in the GECK it seems to work, i.e. the sounds are lowered. Plus it works for the ambient sound IntSilo, which I've quieted down with this method for my FNV/TTW game (it's far too loud compared to Fallout 3 IMO - used in the Megaton Player Home, for instance).

I think there's something up with the Wild Iguanas, i.e. how they are set up in MMM that I don't understand. It doesn't work to try to place them with placeatme - and these edits do nothing at all. It's beyond me what it is though.

The Iguana's are sesom's

The Iguana's are sesom's thing, he'd have to answer it. Their sound might be imbedded in their nif too.
