FPS Issues without knowing why

Post by AlMustansir » Wed Jul 29, 2015 8:17 pm

Hey fellas,

gotta sort out some probs im having and i may need your help to do that. I Attached 2 pics, one with enb on (27fps) and one without enb (35fps). Besides the fact that enb cost performance, thats not my problem. I´m pretty shocked about the low fps in total. 35fps in total right in infront of megaton, looking down the hill. I own a intel 3570 and a GTX 970 with 4 gigs of VRAM. I really dont know i dont achieve more fps.

Nothing fancy done in the inis, just the usual mouse/TTW stuff.

Anyone knows something ?

Cheers !

It may just be a case of too many resource hog mods on an old game engine. Not a very satisfactory answer, I know.

My computer specs are too embarrassing to reveal, but the game still runs.

If that was the case, it would be fine :) But even with all mods ecept ttw disabled, i only get 2-3 frames more. I personally guess that its a cpu limit. I cant even imagine that an old game like FO doesnt run on at least 60 fps without major mods on the graphic side of things.

The game is entirely CPU bound for the most part.

ENB is going to kill performance no matter what you do with it.

It's the engine. It's the same with Oblivion. I get c. 30 FPS in the same location on 2560x1440 and 2XAA. Would probably get better FPS in Skyrim, although I can't compare as I run the latter with ENB, which pretty much halfs my FPS.
