Dynamic Weather and TTW

Post by Arkngt » Tue Jun 30, 2015 1:02 pm

I've converted Xepha's Dynamic Weather and it seems to work nicely, but I notice that it conflicts with TTW when it comes to the CitadelWorld, for example. Should I just carry over the Parent world space and Land data settings from TTW to DW to make them compatible, or is it more involved than that?

It's my favorite weather mod for the Capital Wasteland, but as I understand it, Xepha doesn't allow conversions etc. so I guess I'll just edit it for my personal use.

Converting weather mods is a huge PITA... NV has 6 times a day and F3 only has 4.

Yes, but DW only affects F3, so shouldn't it work fine with that? Or does TTW alter the times of day in F3?

I thought I'd use DW for F3 and then, perhaps, an FNV particular weather mod for FNV. Not sure about the latter as I basically only like DW of the ones I've tried.

The weather forms and data

The weather forms and data are from the engine itself, which has 6 times a day. You'll need to go through and edit every single weather from DW to have a High Noon coloration and effect and a Midnight coloration and effect, otherwise you'll get oddities when it switches to those times, such as black skies and other weird things.

That's true. I had a sudden black sky issue yesterday. Thanks - I'll see if I can do that.

EDIT: Oh, man, that seems like a lot of work as there are so many weather. I think I'll skip DW for now and perhaps return to it later on. I really like it, so I'll miss it.
