BSA can be compressed with zlib or uncompressed. The audio BSA's have no compression. A BSA is just a container like the old WAD (where's all the data) format.

Archive as a term has nothing

Post by jlf65 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 1:59 pm

Archive as a term has nothing to do with compression. It's a storage container for multiple items (files on a computer). Now most compressors output archives that happen to be compressed because they realized the utility of storing multiple files compressed in a single unit, so people started to associate archive with compression, but that doesn't mean all archives ARE compressed. I can name quite a few off the top of my head that aren't, but I won't because I'm sure most people here could as well. laugh

Any idea what settings I must

Post by Yossarian » Fri Jan 26, 2018 9:11 pm

Any idea what settings I must select? If I create a BSA with this tool, it only turns in question marks ingame. Something is going wrong. Also, I only have Skyrim SE installed. Is there a difference between the BSA of Skyrim SE and normal?

Thanks for the help
