Low Render Distance

Post by Kelsig » Sun Jun 02, 2013 5:31 pm

I'm a noob to this forum, so I apologize if I do something wrong.

My problem is, that the render distance is tiny. And, to make things worse, looks absolutely horrible. It just makes things in the distance cut-off. No fog, no low-detailed objects. Just gone, with a huge white area.

At first I thought it was a .ini problem, but it is not. I restored all the .ini's to default, and the problem is still there. I messed with all the distance options, didn't help.

Im assuming it has to do with TTW as it only happens in the Capital Wasteland.

Don't just assume it has to

Don't just assume it has to due with TTW. I can clearly see you're using mods. Have you tried disabling them first?

I've said this time and time again, the simplest mods can change the weirdest things. Gun mods or house mods can drastically change your whole game.

That said, have you tried adjusting your settings in Display in game and also the Options tab from the New Vegas Launcher?

I'm not alright, I'm an equal amount of left.

Make sure that the dlod

Make sure that the dlod settings are in the lodsettings folder for the worldspace in question.

Navigate to data\lodsettings\[name of the DC wasteland worldspace]

If they aren't there, something didn't install correctly and you can just move them from the Fallout 3 archive to your NV data folder.

Please see the last post in the other thread. The folder isn't there by default, everything is stored in a .bsa but for some reason yours wasn't built correctly (or at all).

When you extract the necessary dlod settings to your NV data directory make sure that archive invalidation is activated, and before you ask newer versions of fallout mod manager have this feature built in to the utiity.
