Lol sorry about making it very basic I'm usually helping folks with little to no knowledge of how this all works so I try to make it as simple as possible. I remember when I was in that position so other than my occasional smart a.. remark I try to be as helpful as possible.


Also, on the topic of releasing mods/ patches on TTW: The mod I did last night, though I used the original for reference I did create it from scratch, and while it could use some polishing if you think it turned out alright and want to release it I'm ok with that. Get with Chuck/ Jax/ Both and fill them in and make sure it's ok first though. Would probably credit the original for inspiration, but no need to credit me.

What I meant was that you gave an awesome response. It all made sense to me. Basic, simple, and helpful. Problem was that I cracked open the groovatron in FNVEdit and it was anything but simple. But I'm sure to people who understand script it's pretty simple. Anyway, I'll have to try and follow a guide later or something. All those scripts just looked like gibberish to me, although it looked like a lot of if statements. Not to mention that there were two different quest scripts adding the groovatron.


So no worries man. If not for you, I'd still be flustering and trumping around trying different odd combos and completely reinstalling TTW

unless I get over ruled, Patches, Fixes are fine to release here as long as you credit and link to the original author. There is a huge discussion going on in the nexus modders forums about this very subject but, I've never had an issue with patches and, or, compatibility patches. Since it is likely the Author of this mod won't be putting out a TTW version feel free to publish the fix as long as it requires the original version and, you give links to it.

Yea this one is gonna require both originals. The one I mentioned was one of the mods changing Dogmeat to a Yao Guai. One record and I took a look and saw it wasn't functioning because it was referencing the FO3 Yao Guai or in the case of the meshes nothing at all. I rebuilt from scratch using TTW standards but I did use the original as a ref. Definitely credit the original author but no real way to require it as a master as the dogmeat record was the only one in the file That's why I said he should get with you guys and find out for certain.

All credit goes to the original mod authors and the people, like tjmidnight420, who help make them compatible for TTW. Just thought uploading here would be a good idea so anyone with common mods wouldn't have to keep asking about how to fix when they could just download one here.


In the mean time, having trouble with making Groovatron NV compatible. Good news is, thanks to the help of tjmidnight420 and cjb135691, the issue was narrowed down and now the work on a fix can begin. So anyone with a fresh start in TTW can grab the Groovatron early on...as soon as I get that fix and upload it...

I contacted the mod author for help, but our conversation was brief seeing as he declined to answer after asking questions about the event that adds it to the player character.


Does anyone with scripting experience have the Groovatron NV on hand?
