I'd be much grateful if someone could get a solid working version of MFWTCF (Three Dog version) or GNR Enhanced uploaded for TTW 2.4a.  I've just about given up.  Thanks.


For now I've managed to get the music loaded and working with Courier's Radio (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/5021).  Better than nothing, but still.

Just tested my version of GNR Enhanced and it worked fine played music and I know for a fact it is playing the new songs. re-downloading to make sure I'm using the same version of the mod.

Saw this thread on Google and thought I'd ask here instead of creating a brand new topic...


I've been trying to get GNR Enhanced with the 100 songs working for me, but I've been having difficulty. So far, with the various methods I've tried (editing through GECK, editing through FOMM and converting with FNVEdit), I've ended up with one unchanged station, one that plays only news and one that gets stuck on an endless loading screen (in the same order as I attempted).


So, right now I'm stumped at what else I can try... I saw the method listed in the original post, but I'm wondering what the random World object that gets created is so I can delete it and give it a try.

The 'only news' may be a vanillaish bug. Does he ever actually say any news, or jus restart his intro? If he just restarts the intro, just wait it out, and/or give him more news to talk about.

He'll restart his intro over and over, maybe do a service announcement... the weird thing is that it was originally playing music, though just the vanilla music and not any of the 100 new songs.... I'll play some more and see if it fixes itself.


 


Got it fixed.... realized the infinite load screen problem was an old bug from NV that's easily fixed by starting a new game and then loading. Three Dog went through his intro loop and eventually came out of it and started playing a new song. Thank goodness... Now all the mods I wanted work. :)

Yea. The intro loop *usually* fixes itself. It only seems to occur near the beginning of the game where there arent many player news items. I think I looked into what was causing it once, and it has something to do with how heavily weighted player news is, but he isn't allowed to repeat the same player news consecutively.  The check for consecutiveness isn't made until the 'decision' to do player news is made, and so it loops the intro until it gets into a valid state.
