Fast Travel Mod I am working on

Post by Elta1 » Mon Nov 25, 2013 3:36 am

First off, Hello everyone, this is my first post eva!

Allright...Mod talk time. I have noticed that there is a serious lack of fast travel alternatives and most just pointed you to Ghostdancer's Wasteland Travel System, which is nice but lacks basic TTW support. So I decided to fix that. I have completely rewrote his script to support travel between the Mojave and DC (and DLCs coming next). I have other plans to add a repair system or random encounters when cross country travel, when and if I figure out how to do it.

Now I plan to release it on the Nexus and here too (maybe). But I have not gotten a response from Ghostdancer yet but he says if he does not responses in 2 weeks you can do what you want with it (it has been one week already). And if he says no, I am planning on just making my own from scratch.

So I hope I can release it next week or so...ya.....keep your eyes open.

Sounds interesting, so by little encounters when you travel cross country, do you mean like a little worldspace that you encounter enemies ? Kind of like how FO1/2's fast travel worked ?

That is what I am thinking. But since I had no script experience till last week, it may take a while to do that, but that is my main goal.

Good luck. It's a lot of work don't underestimate it. I do something similar for "Fallout The Story" (Fallout 1 reimplemantation on the NV engine).
