Bah, we only ever see it

Post by Shardoom » Wed Mar 05, 2014 7:54 am

Bah, we only ever see it fired at two points in the game. Lets just say the aliens had it turned all the way up to 11. All we have to do is turn the 'volume knob' down a bit.

OR, like I said. "Use it to kill EVERYONE"

"Zeta Crew" Completely ignorant of the wastelands ways would side with you on anything, Sending in support drones and possibly themselves by whatever means I'm not sure, Homing beacons or Recon crafts.

"DC Brotherhood" Flying in with limited forces on vertibirds is the only option i could really see them being able to do to assist you, Liberty prime would only be sent in if some long term benefit was in it for them, Reforming the west coast brotherhood for instance.

"Reilly's Rangers" With high speech you could possibly convince them that they would be better off starting fresh in the Mojave.

"Ashurs Tribe" Considering their resources, I don't think they can help you if they wanted too, But if they could they would support anyone but the NCR, As the NCR isn't going to accept the help of raider/slavers unless they completely take over their entire operation but the NCR does not have enough presence and manpower around Pittsburg to consider that.

"Paradise Falls" They got nothing in common with the legion besides slavery and the legion would probably kill them the same way they did to nipton due to their ways, House or independent could offer then better business in the Mojave then what they got in DC wastes.

"Talon company" They would only help if you pay up a almost impossible amount of caps to Commander Jabsco, That or convince him 100 speech or barter skill bluffing that the NCR,Legion,House would pay handsomely for their services and eventually turn on you once they find out they aren't getting paid.

"Powder Gangers" They are sworn enemies of the NCR and the legions display at nipton would be well enough reason to be wary of the legion, They would only fight on houses behalf with convincing but would side with you no problem if independent.

"Fiends" Would never fight on behalf of the NCR, I can only see them integrating with the legion, House offers them a worthy deal or on your behalf if you are independent.

Liberty Prime is still massively fucked up. BUT, if there is one man that could fix it, well, he lives in the basement of the L38. Hell, he co-developed the damn thing. Another great reason for LYon's to send his daughter and the 'pride' over to the Mojave to pay back the debt they owe you.

Just think of it, D.C BoS gets help fixing up their big stompy robot, free Mojave gets another helping hand and Mr House gets his hands on the long lost blueprints for the Prime series robot.

Mr House, "Securitron MKII Whaaaaat, New Vegas defences just just a little bit of an upgrade, say hello to my army of primes."

The only issue I could see would be getting the pride to fight alongside the remnants. But if you can persuade Mereno to, "Help the fucking NCR" you should be able to persuade Sarah. She does after all trust you a hell of a lot.

I'm pretty sure they're done repairing Liberty Prime by 2281.  They knew literally everything about how he to build him and how he worked before they got the damn power supply problem fixed.  Rothschild basically says they can do it, since they have a crapton of raw materials from the blown up mobile carrier, but they lack optics and sensor equipment.  So you go find some, etc. They probably incorporated some Enclave tech in there, too.  He might be lighter, or something.

I'm not ok, lorewise, with this being anything other than a one-time thing.  The NCR can't ally with the mojave BoS until after House is dead, and even then I don't think he'd care to restart the US military's Custom Order giant robot his company worked on with General Atomics.  It's pretty damn inefficient to make, and the power supply problem was some sort of tech wizardry by Dr. Li.  House is dead anyway, so it's a moot point.

I hadn't thought about the Remnants/D.C. Brotherhood debacle.  I mean, the Remnants just come in as a surprise during the final push, probably so the BoS doesn't get trigger happy before the fighting starts.  That's a good point, and I'll add it to the master post.

Zeta Crew:  That makes things more complicated, but yeah, it could work possibly

D.C. Brotherhood: Outlined in above post

Reily's Rangers:  They might relocate, hm.  If the world is growing on the other side of the country, there'd be a better market for honest, hard working mercs.  If the BoS has the Super Mutant situation under control by 2281, which they almost definitley would if they knew about Vault 87, they might see it as a good idea.

Ashur: House respects an industrialist, and Ashur is always going on about rebuilding civilization.  He'd support the NCR, and you don't have to tell them exactly what they do.  It's more manpower with massive chainsaws and lots and lots of ammo. The NCR is NOWHERE near the Pitt.  They're not even east of the Colorado, iirc.

Liberty Prime: It's more of the "You did everything right, here's the giant robot you've missed so much." bonus, so unless it's impossible, it'll happen.  If it comes to it, I honestly don't care if it breaks all lore irreparably.  I want it. It's awesome.  Rule of Cool. Different justifications and reasoning are appreciated, though.

Talon Company: You can't actually talk to Commander Jabsco, so I was just thinking you pay them through dialog of the faction you're hiring them for.  That'd be it, hence why it's so simple.  It's just a two week train ride.  Easy money.

Paradise Falls: Yeah, ok I was reaching.  I needed to add SOMETHING to Caesar.  This is really one sided as it is.

Powder Gangers/Fiends: The Khans are ALSO enemies of the NCR, and so are the BoS unless you pull off some diplomatic kung fu.  There is no reason why this wouldn't work if they're desperate enough.

What? You have been a courier

Post by EnderDragonFire » Wed Oct 29, 2014 3:43 am

What? You have been a courier in the Mojave for years, according to Ulysses. You have not been on the strip, according to house, and you have amnesia, but you are a seasoned Mojave Express courier.

"Who are you, who do not know your history?"
