Project Railroad - a mod i want to make.

what i am planning to do for this mod is link all the CW metro into a massive line where you can go to a station and pick a destination and bored the train. What i am looking to do is have it in steps. so here are the steps

Step one metro restoration, 

this will be a quest line using the BoS and how they want to expand on trading, so they want to reopen the metro system as a underground trade route. you will help out and maybe pay some caps to clean the diffrent lines up and have a trading post at each end of the line.  this will add new npc quests. etc

Step two expantion.

They get a signal from the BoS at new Vegas, saying that they are looking to expand, so the BoS start to look at how they can expand and that is using the tracks from CW to MW. Onse the tracks are linked there will be a trade rout and a simple travel from probably any end of line station to the maybe train station and the to MW. ones this is done. they will look into expansion even more

Step Three Rail Road exaction 

as you can see when walking around MW there is alot of train tracks, the BoS want to link up the poplar towns eg Vegas, prim, novac and more.

edit - maybe take sides like BoS, or NCR. i would like this mod to make the BoS play a bigger part in FO:NV

this would be kind of a fast travel legit way if you get what i mean. adding a train station to all the main towns. also random stops where new quests could be.

I would like to know what you guys think of this idea and put your ideas into it too.

I will be looking for probably 1 or 2 people to make a team to create this mod because as it sounds it will be very big.

Sounds good, though I think the West BoS might kind of hate the East BoS, I meanwith all the helping and actually using tech instead of being xenophobic shutins that do nothing but hoard.

Before everything in the west went to shit for the BoS they KNEW what Lyons was doing. They didn't excommunicate him or anything, but they cut the supply line. So they don't really HATE one another, but they strongly disagree. The outcasts, on the other hand, are more in line with the west coast BoS' beliefs, but I also get the impression that they are the antagonists in the whole Lyons-Outcast feud, so the west BoS might frown upon their violence toward their brothers. Basically the east BoS split from a moderate belief system to two factions, one ultra-liberal and one ultra-conservative, and the moderate homeland would frown upon both of them.

All conjecture of course.
