ahaha okay, im not up to 5k hours yet, but definitly in my 3k ones :P

im mostly doing this because i always end up having redundant mods. I know everyone has their own favorite picks but there are a few mods which are, to my opinion, basic. Stuff that will improve the visuals on NPCs/Character creation, or just simply makes the game better from the get go. I also often end up with conflicts, for examples the many times i used projet mikoto then upgraded to Redesigned, then upgraded this or that hair pack, or this or that npc ''beautification'' mods, etc.

And since i was redoing a clean install, i figured id investigate whats everyone's ''basic'' setup when they start anew. The stuff you build upon, the files that should stick with you if you're unsure of what you're doing or just how much you want to customize.

And condense it all in a post for noobs to ttw who want to try their hands at everything the games can offer, in the best way possible.

Run the Lucky 38 is an awesome mod, a good way to make caps and peel back the many layers of the Lucky 38.

And Lucky 38 Suite Reloaded v4 changes the Presidential Suite into an awesome player home.

edit: DO NOT USE NVEC.

Why not, I do.  Granted the patch is not being recently maintained but everything seems to work.

Make sure to get NVAC and UIO

Make sure to get NVAC and UIO if you are going to use HUDs.  If you are comfortable with using MODS, get Mod Organizer with FOMM Fork 0.14.11.9.

When the new RWL for FO3 is

Post by RoyBatty » Thu Oct 30, 2014 7:54 am

When the new RWL for FO3 is released, I will merge them and release it. I already have permission from Sal to do so, I'm just waiting on him.

There's already a merged TTW version of the streetlights mods.

Senterpat made a nice merged version of More Perks and Traits for TTW which includes them all for both games.

ILO is always WIP, just have to wait until Sarge finds the time to do it, F3 has a lot more interiors than Vegas does.

NVEC is broke as hell with TTW, it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up to work properly, and kept up to date with constant updates to TTW. It also contains a few mods which are out of date now, and will cause issues down the line. I don't think the version of NVB in it is going to be compatible with NVB III for instance.

2.  The Streetlight merge is very nice!

3.  Yes, I really like Senterpat's More Perks and Traits for TTW!

4.  That is unfortunate about NVEC, I really like that mod.

yeah i love NVEC but i've heard about way to many issues and when it comes down to the choice of TTW vs any other mod TTW will always win.

It's difficult but I am removing it from MO.  I will keep it just in case someone does decide to work on it.  As for me, I am way behind the curve to make it happen.
