Project Nevada and TTW Status?

Post by coppercore » Tue Apr 23, 2013 1:55 am

I was just wondering if anyone happened to know what the status was of Project Nevada being patched to fully support TTW. I found this in the Project Nevada SVN, https://code.google.com/p/project-nevada/source/browse/trunk/Extra+Options/Modules/TTW , so I know someone is doing something, but I'm assuming those files are for 1.4. Any devs out there (TTW or PN) actively working on this or know what's going on with it currently?

I'm not entirely sure of what you're asking, but most of Project Nevada works for me. Honestly, I haven't run into any issues, but I'm only using core and rebalance.

Seeing as PN is a pretty large mod that lots of people use, I think we can all assume that it's being worked on by someone and a patch will be posted eventually.

I'm not alright, I'm an equal amount of left.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be here waiting patently then for the ultimate fallout 3/nv experience then.

Like rbroad said, PN works..

Like rbroad said, PN works.. it just has some very minor things, like possibly not including a handful of F3-only items.

All the FNV stuff and main features still work.

The main issue with Project

The main issue with Project Nevada and TTW is PN's equipment module, which adds all the FO3 weapons to the game.

An example bug: when you go to a workbench, you get two different Railway Rifle build options - the one from PN and the one from TTW.  The problem is that the PN copies of the FO3 weapons all use their own ammo, so there are two different types of Railway Spikes out there.  The ones you find in the capital wasteland only work with the TTW Railway Rifle, and the ones you find in the Mojave only work with the project nevada Railway Rifle.

Basically, a compatibility patch needs to be made that changes all of the PN weapons and ammo to the TTW versions, and also deletes duplicates like the workbench recipes.

Does it crash if you load an earlier save and go to megaton and leave, or just saves after a certain point?

What is your status? Like, which pn plugins, which patches, extra options. Which features are enabled/disbaled. Are you currently sprinting, bullet time, etc.

PN itself does not need to be patched for TTW. It is not 100% compatible, but only in the sense that it wont actually affect certain things (PN Extra Options wont touch CW-specific loot lists for example) and will create duplicates of most of FO3's weapons (via the PN Equipment module).

It has been said many times; PN works fine. If you are having issues, make a thread (after searching to see if your problem hasn't already been worked through) and post your load order.

Fair warning though, if you have tried to install TTW on a modded New Vegas, or you have failed to keep the TTW and FO3 esms in the correct order, don't expect everyone to be all sunshine and rosebuds.
