I hope he can make the real 3D LOD meshes for trees like used around Jacobstown, not the billboard style. Dead trees can stay as billboards since they are thin.

When I'm motivated again I'll make billboards for the other small plants with nifskope and your tool.

Aside from that all LOD is very satisfying to play with, no issues.

You have missing LOD texture(s) and actually FNVLODGen lists them in log when generating LOD. Unlike GECK I decided to not abort LOD generation process when some LOD texture is not found, but instead use a special green replacer similar to how game uses a special sign mesh for missing meshes and purple solid color for missing textures.

I've still been slowly

Post by Adonis VII » Fri Apr 21, 2017 12:22 am

I've still been slowly working on assets when I have the time. I'm about to finish the overpasses:

However I have a question I wonder if anyone might know.  How can you add shadowing directly to a mesh? Particularly in Blender? As you can see in the image below my LOD Mesh (left) is lacks the shadow detail of the high poly mesh (right), but I'm unsure how to correct this for my assets.

EDIT: I figured out how to fix and apply vertex colors properly.

Are there any arguments or

Post by khumak » Tue Apr 25, 2017 4:51 pm

Are there any arguments or options I need to set when trying to run FNVLODGen on a TTW install?  When I tried running it, the log seemed to show it not finding most of the files it was looking for and it had scripts failing as well.  I have no arguments set at the moment.  Does -s work as an argument to tell it the source file location?  I had to use that for SSELODGen to get it to work, but haven't tried it yet for TTW.

khumak..  I use Mod Organizer

Post by CyberDanz » Mon Jun 12, 2017 7:01 pm

khumak..  I use Mod Organizer and run the FNVLodGen through it, in order for LODGen to recognize my game directory in MO.  After following directions and unpacking resource files and assets and using the TTWLodgen ESP, I have no issues running LODGen.  Many of the "not found" messages are normal during generation.  It uses what it does find and skips what it doesn't with the "not found" messages.  There is a log file that is generated that will tell you what was generated, and list all those "not found" messages.  If anything not found is in error, then double check how you're using your resource files, be sure they're unpacked in correct folders.  I haven't had to run any arguments (such as -s) and have success each time.  If you feel everything is in order and correct but still doesn't work as intended, someone else will need to assist you.  I'm just sharing that by following the step by step directions posted and using the ttwlodgen esp, it works for me.

Now for my question.. not sure if this is a good posting spot since so many threads discuss the topic.. but:  now after downloading Enhanced Terrain LOD - TTW which covers most, if not all, terrain LOD's..  Is there any Object LOD Packs similar that covers most, if not all, object LOD's?  If so, can someone point me in the right direction?  All I seem to find are just links to the resource packs for FO3/FNV/TTW Lodgens.  Thanks!  PS:  I do understand those mentioned resource packs is/are the current solution that works.. I'm asking if there is an All in One kind of resource such as ETL is for terrain lod.
