LOD problem is everywhere except for the Lite Edition.

So am I, but I can definitely confirm that "EVE FNV - ALL DLC.esp" is the cause of the crash.  You can have one enabled (vurt's for FO3 or eve) but not both.


Also, I tried cleaning masters from both files, and it doesn't help.  Oddly, there is nothing at all conflicting in FNVedit - vurt's ESP file has about ten records in it anyway.

I actually ran into the same issue, if you load both Floral overhaul files after EVE, it works fine, at least on my end

I'm gonna throw this out there, I dunno if it'll help but I hope so.


When you get Vurts Skyrim plugin, if you install and don't change anything it works. If you use optimizer textures on everything the LOD breaks, just like we see here. You can replace the optimized LOD with the untouched LOD and it'll still render this way. You can keep the optimized LOD and replace all the textures with the untouched versions and it'll still render this way. I'm thinking the LOD either has to be the exact size of the textures (1024x1024 textures, 1024x1024 LOD) or an exact fraction of the textures (1024x1024 textures, 512x512 LOD, maybe even 256x256.)


I'm by no means an expert on this and I like most/ all of you guys have been looking for a fix.

Hum, that's what I've been doing the whole time and it still crashes.  There are some files that are overwritten between the two flora overhauls when they are installed though - that might have something to do with it, i.e. which one was installed on top of the other, and then load order probably also comes into play.

I opened up the mod header and removed all the parents mods except for Fallout 3 (for the F3 Vurt's mod) and New Vegas (for the NV version). Just one master each. This was after adding TTW and all its masters to the mod and then running the script upon it.

Ah OK.  I don't get a crash anymore, with both of Vurt's flora and EVE installed.


Just opened the converted Flora Overhaul.esp and delete all masters except Fallout3.esm.  Both files are near the end of my load order, well after EVE.


Edit:


I should add; you can get around the LOD issue by removing both of the folders 'meshes/lod' and 'textures/lod' from Vurt's flora before installing it.  However this is obviously not ideal because you get zero distant trees - just the up-close ones.  I tried increasing fTreeLoadDistance in the falloutprefs.ini, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I have neither in my data folder, but I still have LOD issues

You should uninstall vurts flora for FO3, then 'roll your own' zip file of vurts. Extract the download to a new folder, delete the folder /data/meshes/landscape/lod and then rezip everything into a new file, and then install it with FOMM or whatever.

Otherwise you might accidentally delete something in your data folder that doesn't apply to Vurts flora for FO3
