Brain Surgery After Point-Lookout

Post by Lord Darx » Fri Nov 17, 2017 1:52 am

After finishing point lookout, i've never felt more... violated after getting a piece of my brain extracted, i didn't care at first because I thought i could get the piece of my brain back into my head, but for my surprise you can't

and even if is just a video game it felt weird having a piece of your brain in a bottle (with apparent no brain damage) , and the game description is pretty accurate, "you feel a terrible sense of loss"

So i thought. Once you have your lump of brain back you could pay a medic from the wasteland to put it back (or replace the part) by paying 10.000 or 5,000 caps (brain surgery ain't cheap) and after the operation getting the perk gray matters

( http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gray_Matters the perk itself)

So what do you think?

I would not want a hunk of tissue that's been sitting days in a jar put back in my body. Instead, I'd want to insert all those hunks of brains into Tobar, preferably using explosives.

I don't think an autobot could make it work, maybe a decepticon.

Especially if playing TTW

Especially if playing TTW through all of the DLCs, one can only feel pity towards the brains of the main protagonist - Involuntary unskilled brain surgery in the swamp just mentioned, then drilled into the head by alien abductors, getting shot in the head with a 9mm and finally also getting the whole damaged brain scooped out, flushed down the drain and put back in by a bunch of mad scientists to top it all off.. No wonder there is some memory loss and maybe even confusion going on in the Lonesome Road DLC.. ;)

Yep, you get a lot more done

Yep, you get a lot more done to you than just Tobar hacking a piece out. If I were to make a mod about the piece Tobar hacks out, instead of inserting the piece back in, maybe make a custom cyber implant to replace it.

How about a 'companion' brain

Post by Mystical Panda » Fri Nov 17, 2017 5:56 pm

How about a 'companion' brain-bot that contains your chunk instead of some recycled inmates? Take it to a surgeon like with Rex and let him put it in a brain-bot shell collected from a factory somewhere...
