To possibly "skip" the time frame difference between the two game, how about a "while traveling to Nevada your train/transport was hijacked/crashed...", starting in a random location as is, instead of Doc Michell's house, kinda thing? Something like, if you have an existing character on the F03 side, randomize where you land, even in hostile territory, or have a crashed train somewhere, place the player and spawn those that "caused" the crash around them. At this point, your faction, etc.,. is already chosen by your actions along with your gear; wyciwyg -> what your carrying is what you got.

Gribble was making that mod for TTW but then he got busy in RL and probably got bored of it and moved on to other of his 391 modding projects cheeky.

Trust me when I say, I know what it's like when you're, at the time, one of the few who are able to bust things out fairly quickly code wise. Things get overwhelming fast, and one gets burnt out very very quickly. That just by itself, takes a while to recover from. Getting the passion and enthusiasm back it hardest part. 


I'm slowly working my way there to help, and it'll take me awhile to get a handle on the scope if what I'm going to do before I get anything done that'll be of any use.
