I highly doubt it's a texture. More than likely that is done with on the fly rendering.

Sorry guys, again, I'm a total rookie when it comes to modding. I suppose if it is rendered "on the fly" that would make sense as well, as something else stands out to me:

If it's not noticeable to those playing at 1920 x 1080, that would imply that the rectangle appears at 1920 x 1080 on 16:9 displays. If that's true, why do we see the rectangle at 1920 x 810 in my screenshots?

I would expect the rectangle, if anything, to show up on 21:9 displays at 1920x1080 as do the actual loading screens, which means, assuming it is rendered, there is a somewhat faulty calculation being used that is mishandling the 2560x1080 as 1920x810, which seems incredibly likely upon realizing that:

2560 / 1080 = 2.37037037037

1920 / 810 = 2.37037037037

So the formula building the rectangle would appear to have the correct aspect ratio but is mistakenly assuming a width of 1920 and calculating a height of 810 from there? (Perhaps an upper bound for a width is hard-coded at 1920, I do have to edit the .ini files to get a resolution of 2560x1080 in the first place). That's all speculation but this must be happening somehow.

Still assuming its rendered, surely there's a way to change this? Either to not render a rectangle at all or to render it to the actual resolution (as listed in FalloutPrefs.ini with iSize W and iSize H)?

I bet it is hardcoded to be honest or someone else would have already made something to remove it (old game and a lot of talented modders for it).
