Hello everyone just the other day i was thinking about  2 cool Weapon Pack mods that someone could convert into 1 for TTW. Book of Earache(FO3) and Shrapnel 4.1 Aka Ahzteks Weapon Overhaul by ahztek666(NV) both weapons mods are great but they are also missing a few weapons from each pack so i was thinking if someone could combine both of the lasted versions it would be awesome the only difference is BoE uses Caliber ammo while Shrapnel uses CASE ammo maybe getting rid of case and using Caliber for both but adding those missing ammunitions into Caliber. I remember trying to use both mods for Requiem for the capital wasteland years back and it didn't work like i wanted it to the cool thing about both is they have Weapon stores BoE is in Megaton and it moves if you decide to blow megaton up and Shrapnel is in Freeside next to Silver Rush also BoE has quests while Shrapnel doesn't. Maybe they both can be combined but it would be awesome to see them both combined so that you can use every weapon available and both mods have weapon attachments so that is a bonus.

Dunno about BoE, but the AWOP-Shrapnel patch works in the Mojave. Only need Caliber - im running it without CASE. For CaliberX: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39981/?


Haven't tested it yet in DC, but raiders etc get Shrapnel weapons in the Mojave OK.


Straight Shrapnel = no in DC; AWOP-Shrapnel = yes in Mojave (dunno in DC yet).


No conversion required - both are FNV mods.


 


Micalovs Weapon Pack (adds 30 wpns) works in BOTH Mojave and DC, and is one plugin which I recommend

Tbh I thought Earache had already made a NV version of his ammo+guns pack. Mods for NV don't need to be "converted". Some of them should be edited before use (in cases where they would otherwise ruin EVERYTHING IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE) but what you're talking about is not that.


Have you considered asking ahztek to add the weapons and ammo types you feel are missing?


Edit: Oh. Just went to check the nexus and saw SHRAPNEL was hidden. Cant find any NV earache mod either. Thinking back a little weren't both ahztek and earache banned from Nexus? Regardless, messing with someone else's mod is not gonna happen here without permission. I invite you to hunt down either earache or ahztek (or both) and request permission for some form of merge and/or update. It's a pretty lengthy and dull process though.


In the meantime I suggest you try the other great weapon packs, easily available on Nexus, which I'm pretty sure work 100% fine with TTW.

Earache did make a BoE for NV

Earache did make a BoE for NV but i didn't like it because it didn't have all the weapons that the Fo3 version has. the Fo3 version has 60+ weapons the NV seems to only have roughly 40 or less. also Shrapnal weapon overhaul has atleast 60+ weapons which is good for a weapon pack.
