Reapers and Reavers

I guess this is where I should post my question.  I feel Reavers and Reapers may be rather too powerful.  Is there any known mod, or can someone create an esp perhaps, to decrease their power some?  I'm using Practice makes Perfect, and I've set it so all leveled lists/encounters and such are set at level 19, even though I'm quiet a bit bellow that level.  Because that is the default suggested to maintain a challenge average I guess.  However, I fought some reavers and they were pretty dang tough and took multiple head shots from my hunting rifle, and the reaper was just completely unkillable(I think I got the names in right order and not mixed up).  From what I read this was a common issue with BoS expansion for FO3.  Everyone seemed to feel the newest ghouls were way more powerful than makes sense, or atleast they were once they 'went berserk' or what not.  All I know, is the strongest of the ghouls I've met, I did a sneak attack with a hunting rifle to the head and he took almost no damage, rather excessive to me it seems.

I normally do a personably mod that balances out some of the BS and PL encounters because I always thought they were overpowered myself. I haven't had a chance to rebuild it for TTW 2.0 yet but when I do I will release it.

This is pretty easy to do yourself with FNVEdit. I'll walk you through it.


1. Download and install FNVEdit.  http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34703/?


2. Sort your load order with your mod manager.


3. Start FNVEdit. When its finished loading, you will see all your ESMs and ESPs on the left.


4. The Reavers are in "PointLookout.esm", so click the + symbol to expand PointLokkout.


5. Reavers are a creature so expand creatures. Down about 20 entries is "DLC04CrFeralGhoul4A "Feral Ghoul Reaver"


6. Right click on "DLC04CrFeralGhoul4A "Feral Ghoul Reaver". A window will pop up, select "Copy as override into". Select "Yes" in the next warning dialog. And finally scroll to the bottom of the last pop-up window and select "new file". Give it a name.


7. FNVEdit will save on exit or when you press "Ctrl+s".


8. Your new mod will be listed to the far right in FNVEdit. As long as you only edit this file all your vanilla files will be ok. You'll only need to make your changes, save, and enable in your mod manager.
