I also like the same pictures.   I think a rail gun should be powered by back pack unless you are wearing power armor to tap into the fusion generator.   It does take a lot energy to throw a piece of tungsten down range fast enough to kill unless I guess you keep the tungsten rounds small like around 4.7mm or smaller.

Or you can make two versions;

1.   Assault type - Rifle like - energy cells - silent SA and FA operation - Use and Retexture Gauss Rifle since that is what a Rail Gun is anyway.

2.  Heavy Assault - Picture 1 but make it more Lore Friendly with backpack or Power Armor - Reduced sound FA Operation - increased damage.

afaik, rail cannons are more efficient for larger projectile sizes, while gauss is better for normal firearm projectile sized things.  and considering they already have working rail cannons that can be loaded onto navy boats, it's not too much of a stretch to say that in the magical science of fallout, minimizing them to shoulder-launched rocket-sized-projectile thrower

I like all of those concepts someone should really make these.
