Move from shoulder to rifle

Move from shoulder to rifle as the tech was advanced and weight reduced. Example being say a modern laptop compared to say, this thing.


I don't think it says, but I'd rather have a heavy handle weapon over a rifle/shoulder weapon. There aren't enough handle weapons, and that form factor, like the plasma caster, seems to fit better for the type of weapon, especially a prototype. A reload like the minigun makes sense, with a large power pack and ammo unit to swap out.

And yeah that would be a good alternative and fitting for the style of weapon it would be.

Something big, 2 hand handle type.




  1. Large bulky base like the plasma caster, with a rail or gauss type barrel on it. No backpack, but use the minigun reload (so would need minigun ammo placement.


  2. Slim held gun design like a flamer gun, with a backpack as the energy source like a gatling laser.


  3. Shoulder mounted using the SMMG as a base, for the ammo box reload animation, representing the large projectile/energy case combo it requires.


All options using something like a gauss barrel mixed with a tesla. Split rails that guide the projectile.

I think option 1 with the aspects of the first pic are the best starting points.

I like the 1st picture and the 2nd gun in the 2nd picture those look the best. all them look cool but those I think are the coolest looking.

Trying one I made in blender out right now, it utilizes models already in game, though.


Wanted to preserve that "Fallout" feel :p

I am trying to get it work. I could send you the model and you could try, but my nifskope won't let me add collision so I can't pick it up. I am going to try again tommorow at adding it.
