Blood Brothers Mod Request

I was just talking about stuff and got a GREAT IDEA for a mod, I can't do it at all so I am requesting it here.


The mod I had in mind is that we should be able to fill blood packs when we kill enemies, and then different blood types give us different bonus and or penalties, for example




  • Nightstalker blood makes us invisible for a while


  • Centaur blood makes centaurs not attack us for a while


  • Super mutant blood give us a boost of strength and constitution but reduces intelligence and agility


  • Human blood heals us


  • Ghoul blood makes resist radiation or even heal while we are being irradiated


  • Deathclaw blood could give us a boost to DR/DT and make us deal more unarmed damage and even ignore DT/DR for a while


  • Yao guai could make any animal run away from us for a bit


  • Radscorpion blood would give us poison resistance for a while


  • And so on


We would need requirements to be able to get these bonuses:




  • Hematophage special perk


  • Medicine Skill of at least 25 to be able to get blood packs


  • The duration of the bonuses would increase with higher medicine skill or something like that.


What do you guys and girls think about it? Is it possible to make it? Are the bonus worth it? Would you drink blood for your own benefit?

This sounds interesting, but I have too many mods going as it is. You could set it up easier than you think though.


Modify the hematophage perk, add new perk entries Entry Point -> Add Leveled List On Death


The "Perk Owner" conditions are for the player, so you could do GetActorValue -> Medicine >= 25 (or even require different skill levels for different bloods).


The "Target" conditions are for the creature whose blood you will be drinking. So for deathclaws you would want to do IsInList -> crDeathclawList == 1


You might need to create new lists and populate them, but it could be done.

Funnily enough I am working on a Blood Packs Mod, currently set up so that you can type the blood packs at you find around, at microscopes and then either convert them into Plasma or Transfuse them directly depending on their type and your own with a blood centrifuge or transfusing kits that you can craft, designed to work with whatever mods you have (Except anything that modifies the microscopes) The effects of the Plasma and Blood transfusions are controllable via MCM but basically designed to be a kind on low-level, non-addictive hydra to overcome the shortage of doctor's bags in some of the more hard-core of play-throughs. 


I'm nearly ready to release it as above but will consider adding in the facility to extract new blood pack types from SM, Centaurs & Ghouls i.e. the human derivatives to subsequent releases.


I've never liked the idea of being able to drink blood packs as it is virtually impossible to keep ingested blood down in real life and even in the rare play-throughs that I have got the perk I've never really used it but maybe some form of blood sausage could be crafted from non-human species?
