Here's a picture illustrating what I'm referring to:


When he created a new normal map and environmental mask, (as well as the more major night version of the window, since it was vanilla and diferred largely from the day one in his pack), he accidentally put a copy of the old night window onto the texture that didn't need changing (as you can see, other than that window in the middle, the texture is the same).


 


Edit: derp, the windows in the right hand corner are different.  In my personal copy of this texture I just pasted from the original ottdrim01.dds the middle part that's covered by the old night glow map that was erroneously included in this texture.

Courier, I do believe we need to get you up to date on modding and how it works (including things like how loose files work and proper zipping/compressing of files). Start with this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-3c1a9cLL8) and please continue on the series. Please do.

Okay. Besides my confusion of this mod, are you criticizing my two mods in the New Vegas Nexus and my proposal in this link: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/credits-and-new-menu-theme? I believe that a mod can exist in any form. It doesn't always have to be something related to GECK. Also, I'm not 100% tech savvy. I'm still a student learning computer coding, and everything is all new to me. In terms of GECK, I understand the code C++, not C#.


Now, regarding the NMC mod, I know how to do the ones for FO3 and FNV; but I never had to do one for TTW.

Courier, with all due respect, you're having trouble installing mods with very basic directions (summed up, this mod takes files from a nexus archive, combines F3 and NV versions, and, via a .bat file, cleans up unused files). You're also not giving us a) the direction you're taking and b) what your problem is. Finally, your "mods" are an edit of a text file (done in notepad) and swapping a music file around (copy/paste). Gopher's videos are meant to help you load mods with a sense of direction rather than just touching upon a few already existent files or flailing wildly and asking every single author for further instructions.

If you can't understand how to use simple batch files and follow basic instructions, I fear your endeavors into programming (which is logic, deductive reasoning, and creative problem solving) will be very very difficult for you if not impossible.
