[FIXED] Crashing Across River Near SuperDuper Mart

Post by SwiftDeathSK » Tue Jul 04, 2017 12:56 am

First, the preliminary stuff:

OS: Windows 7 Professional (64bit)

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.81 GHz

RAM: 4 GB

Mod Manager: Mod Organizer v1.3.11

TTW Install Log: (See Attached Files)

Current Load Order: (See Attached Files)

Symptoms:

Crashing whenever I load a new cell (or try to quicksave close enough to the new cell) across the river from the SuperDuper Mart. Cannot advance to GNR because I cannot get to metros as a result.

No issues with anything else up to this point - with a single exception mentioned below, about a couple hours of playtime under this character's belt.

What I have tried already:

I had a crash at Moriarty's Saloon but installing NVAC fixed that and have had smooth play since then. I am using the 4GB Fallout New Vegas patch, have sorted both with the Mod Organizer loot sorter, and with the official LOOT program. I have switched off Imps' Complex Needs - JA - Sorted as LOOT said it was obsolete, no effect. Lowered graphics settings and tweaked various Launcher settings to minimize impact on GPU / CPU load in case it was a RAM issue, even on lowest possible settings it has no effect on the crash. I can travel all around greyditch, throughout various other places to the south, just not in this one particular area, right across the river from the Super Duper Mart. I mean, I've played enough to get to level 4 with increased (as in tweaked up) hard hardcore settings in Project Nevada, it's not like I just booted it up and played for 15 minutes. I have a lot of time invested in this, so I'd like to figure this out without having to remove a bunch of mods that potentially will break my save to try to find the culprit. Hence, I'm posting here in case one of you have a keener eye on what the problem is.

I am using the Steam version of both NV and FO3, New Vegas is Ultimate Edition, FO3 is GOTY version.

Not seeing anything

Post by RoyBatty » Tue Jul 04, 2017 1:25 am

Not seeing anything inherently wrong, you can remove RWD-TTW[Merged].esp though because BLEED already does that and a lot more.

I'm gonna go on a limb and say it's mojave delight.

Not sure if it was Mojave

Post by SwiftDeathSK » Thu Jul 06, 2017 2:43 pm

Not sure if it was Mojave Delight, I removed it and the game CTD upon loading my game. Starting a new game w/o MD and am going to try to re-create the bug. I did remove RWD-TTW[Merged] from my loadout as well. I'll post the results of this when I get to it, that way anyone else who might be having this bug can learn from my incident.

Try removing "TTW Unofficial

Try removing "TTW Unofficial Patch.esp" as well. If that's the one made by Question it was reported as breaking a cell near the SuperDuperMart.

Produces the programming equivalent of coffee stains.

While debugging this, you

While debugging this, you might try starting a new game, and when as soon as possible (not sure if you can do this while in the Vault) try to COC to that location, or nearby. See if it's something in the game's data or something in the game save. I've had things die or get killed by other things, and for some reason, causes a crash when I get there. Somewhere I read there was a record in a mod related to OnDeath, and with that not being set properly, it would crash (believe it was an eyebot cashing in that caused it, when killed with a laser weapon).

It was 100% TTW Unofficial

Post by SwiftDeathSK » Fri Jul 07, 2017 8:16 pm

It was 100% TTW Unofficial Patch. Mojave Delight was not the issue, but upon investigating, I did decide to use a TTW Mojave Delight patch that is supposed to fix custom race issues with TTW and MD that I found here on the forums, so if anyone is following in my footsteps trying to figure out this problem, there you go.

Everything seems to be back in working order, and all i ended up removing was the TTW Unofficial Patch and RWD-TTW[Merged]
