I started my first fallout 3 playtrough and decided to use TTW after having a bit to many crashes when playing modded fallout 3.
I'm about 15 hours into the game and i just 'finishes' the quest 'blood ties'. I say finished because i decided to wipe the family from the wastelands and sending ian west back to arefu, which resulted in both arefu and the family becoming hostile (the second not really being a problem). I was able to finish the quest by searching the is ID for evan king in nvedit, spawning him in the metro station using the console and turning in the quest. I was planing to use a console command to make arefu friendly again but can't find a working one because how different fo3 an fnv handle factions.
If someone can point me in the right direction i would be very grateful.

The behavior is scripted in
The behavior is scripted in the game and it's intentional. If you kill The Family or Arefu residents both factions will become hostile to the player. This is default Fallout 3 behavior.

There's a mod for FO3 you could convert to TTW that allows you to kill The Family and not make Arefu mad... which makes sense given that's what they wanted you to do in the first place. This is another one of those weird Bethesda things that makes no sense, like giving you bad karma and making 3dog bad mouth you for killing Roy Phillips.
