It's only been a few days since my last problem. I have another.
Alright, so whenever I open my game now I get this lovely picture:
So, any fix? I disabled all mods that aren't TTW or 'trusted mods' and I still have the problem. I was in the Capital Wasteland and left the game, and when I came back, I got this screen instead of the title. That essentially means that I cannot load the game. If someone will help, please do. Thanks, and goodbye.
The blackout bug can be caused by Russell and a few other mods that use the cave doors and don't remove the script which adds an image space modifier.
You should be able disable them, and then wait a while and it will dissipate (5 minutes * however many times the doors were used).
I don't know of any mods that do this, and I disabled most of my mods (besides the Groovatron, Project Ultimatum, YUP, and TTW). I'm not sure why this happens on the title screen, before I select Continue, New Game, Load Game, etc. Does that change anything in terms of fixing it? I am completely unable to play the game because of the glitch.
Edit: I just loaded the game again, and I was able to use console commands on the title screen. I get the music and everything, but I cannot select the buttons that I would have to use to load a saved game or create a new one still. So if I had a console command, I could possibly get out of the problem.
I'm not. I found out what was most likely the problem: steam_api.dll was missing. I had to uninstall Steam just to get the file, but I now have more problems than before. All my game data was deleted, I have to reinstall all of my games, and I cannot install games because Steam is saying "content servers unreachable," meaning there is no way to play games. I guess that means this one problem was solved, but at what cost? Looks like I won't be playing TTW until these problems get sorted out. Thanks for the replies, RoyBatty. Every bit helps.
