Purple face on vanilla races

Post by a2937 » Thu Dec 01, 2016 7:39 pm

I have tried to install body replacers, but I have run into a problem. Most of the male character faces are broken. I do not know how to fix it short of uninstalling and reinstalling Fallout New Vegas. I am adding my load order here. I do not see an option for spoilers, so my apologies if the text is a mess.

Alright, a couple things to

Post by Manan » Wed Jan 11, 2017 2:18 am

Alright, a couple things to begin. First off, Pastebin. There's a spoiler option on this forum somewhere, but I can't see it either, so Pastebin is the next best thing for posting stuff like this onto forums. Secondly, formatting - what you have here is a wall of text most people won't read(including me, sorry!), so if you can put each mod on separate lines. Odd that whatever you used doesn't copy it that way for you in the first place, actually...

I haven't used body replacers in quite some time, but if you're desperate to fix the messed up faces, I can give you some general advice. First, turn off and then reapply ArchiveInvalidation. Make sure that you have a merged patch, and that it is up to date.

If things are still messed up, I would uninstall that body mod and all of its related components, and maybe delete them just to stop yourself from making the same mistake over again. Then, go back to all the places you got them from, and for each one, make sure you have the latest/most stable version of each, and that any components you get are designed for the version you downloaded. Carefully reread any instructions on those mod pages as you reinstall, especially if you had to create your own TTW patch for them - if you don't follow those instructions carefully it WILL bite you in the ass(I'd know).

If that doesn't work, come back and edit your post with a spoiler or Pastebin link. I can't exactly speak for others but I expect you'd be more likely to get help if you did.

Edit: Ah @#%! me. This support thread is a month old and they've probably moved on. Welp.
