Cannot load saves

Post by Zayll » Mon May 23, 2016 7:03 pm

I recently downloaded and installed A Tale of Two Wastelands, I was able to start a new game no problem, played around a bit up through a couple side-quests through Megaton, but when I saved and attempted to get on the next day my game would not load. I started a new game, got a little bit into it, saved, and had the same issue. I cannot load from either the auto save or the regular save, they both attempt to load but just sit on the loading screen until I force quit the program.

I am running a Windows 10 64 bit machine, with an AMD FX-8320 8 Core processor running at 3.50 GHz with 8.00 GB of RAM. This is actually the first time I've modded a Fallout game, but I downloaded and am running Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) 0.14.11.12  to manage the mod package. I downloaded both my Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas from Steam, FO3 is the GOTY edition while NV has all of the stand alone expansions purchased seperately.

I've tried disabling the mods and re-enabling them. With the mods disabled I can load old saves from before the mods were installed, but I cannot load any of my post-mod saves. I would really like to be able to enjoy this version of the game, because it looks really awesome, but I can't play the whole thing without having to load a save at some point.

My TTW Install Log and Current Load Order are attached.

Loading hangs are an engine

Post by RoyBatty » Mon May 23, 2016 11:20 pm

Loading hangs are an engine bug, try installing NVAC and see if that helps.

You may want to use CASM for saves.
