One error said it couldn't change my start quest, another something about faces and that it should only ever be set to 1 or 0, and the last that it couldn't change my intro movie or something like that. I've re-installed TTW a number of times, and I've always come up with these errors. It doesn't work with these errors. I've tried to play the game and it does not work as it is supposed to. I haven't a clue how to fix it. I'm about at my wits end with this mod. I've been working on it for literally weeks now trying everything I could possibly think of. If anyone can help please do.
A couple errors I got using MO to install

Make the ini edits manually
Make the ini edits manually in MO, they are explained in detail on the alpha download page. You can also forego using the fomods, and just copy the files to a folder where MO keeps your mods.

What exactly are ini edits?
What exactly are ini edits?
So you're saying open the fomods, take the files out of them and then load up each file as a separate mod in a mod organizer?

The installer makes two
The installer makes two things, it makes the .fomod files and makes a manual installation files. What he meant was grab the manual installation files and put them on the MO mods folder
.
I will quote TJ's instructions from a different thread:
[quote=TJ]
The FOMOD wont work with MO, because MO's FOMOD installer is based on NMM's FOMOD installer (and it's garbage). Fortunately with MO you don't even need the FOMODs. Navigate to the folder you found the FOMODs in, and you should see "Main Files" and "Optional Files" folders. Rename those to TTW Main and TTW Optional. Copy both to MO/mods. Make sure TTW Main has the ini file inside, and that TTW Optionals has the optionals you want to use just inside the folder (not inside another folder in that folder).

I'm getting very confused...
I'm getting very confused... I tried to use FOMM since you said not to use NMM or MO. I took the folder and renamed them, but I couldn't figure out where to put them still. I found the folder for FOMM in C:\Users\Connections Student\Documents\FOMM but there was no folder called "Mods" it was empty? What do I do once those files have been put where they need to go? Do I load them up using FOMM?

Also one other question- Does
Also one other question- Does Fallout 3 need to be operational by itself for TTW to work? By that I mean that I have windows7 and F3 doesn't like windows7, so I had to do some work following a tutorial to get it to work before I was able to play. The TTW tutorial I watched reccomended doing a fresh install of both games, so I did and that would mean that F3 isn't operational at the moment. Would this cause issues?

Well as far as FO3, once you
Well as far as FO3, once you have used it to create TTW you can uninstall it completely. It will no longer be required.

To use Mod Organizer to
To use Mod Organizer to install.
If you use Mod Organizer: When the TTW installer asks "do you want to create fomods" choose no. Go to the folder you put in the TTW Installer's third box down. This is where it built the installation. In that folder will be a folder called "Main Files" , rename it to Tale of Two Wastelands. In the folder where Mod Organizer is installed is a folder called "mods", put the Tale of Two Wastelands folder you just renamed into that folder.
If you want to use any of the optional files, then go into the Optional Files folder that the TTW Installer created. There is a folder for each optional in here. Copy any folder of any optional you want to use into the same "mods" folder in your Mod Organizer directory.
To add the .ini edits, open the ini editor inside Mod Organizer
Make these changes:
-
SCharGenQuest = 001FFFF8 -
sIntroMovie = (yes this one is blank on purpose, it needs to be blank) -
bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles = 1
