Cannot activate the mainframe in Death from Above quest *FIXED*

Post by RedForman1970 » Sat Oct 03, 2015 9:02 pm

During the Death from Above quest in broken steel, I can't activate the satellite uplink terminal at the end. I can also walk through it. I have also noticed a similar bug in the vault-tec headquarters, I can't activate the mainframe there and I can also walk through that one. My load order and installation log are posted below. I haven't tried anything yet, until someone posts i'm going to look through FNVedit to find the conflicting records.

Windows 7, 16GB RAM, i7-3630QM CPU @2.40 GHz

Fallout 3 GOTY Steam download

Nexus Mod Manager 0.56.1

Look in the following file

Look in the following file location in your New Vegas installation's data folder:

Meshes\Clutter\Consoles

If you have a file there that's called Mainframe01.nif, delete it.

Dunno what would have dumped it there, if it's there, but it sounds like it might be your issue.

I found the nif file you mentioned, but it's in clutter under the installation for Vault 101 Revisited- not my main NV installation. Should I still delete it?

This is my fault it's a bug in TTWInteriors bsa. I have a bad file I am working on an update of the core the file in question is a Mainframe Replacer so if you extract Mainframe01 from the Fallout meshes BSA and place it into Data/Meshes/Clutter/Consoles the problem will be solved for you.

Ahhh. I had that issue too! Fixed it with Setstage 5 for the death above quest I think.

The command told the game that I used the Console and retrieved the data.

I also tried to create the object somewhere else and move it, disable, enable etc. Simply wasnt fixable like that. Used Interiors mod though. Explains it.

I updated my core and BSA so this issue should be resolved. No need to use console or extract the mesh any more. If your still having this issue Please update your TTWInteriors Core. If it persists let me know and I'll see if I messed something else up. indecision
