  When going to trade items to Protector Cassadin, he gives a merchant menue, fine. Trade items he wants, for what I want. 


• 
  I exit the trade menue and he has stolen a completely random set of items from my inventory, including Talon Company armor Reinforced, Raider armor,  and over a dozen weapons, both Advanced technology and not. Firelance as well as Hunting shotgun and other various items as well.

  I end up left with only Chinese Stealth suit, and several other random items, but majority of my inventory has COMPLETELY vanished, with no change to brotherhood reputation.

Yeah, give it a few seconds and check again. If stuff is still missing, save, quit, reload and check again. If stuff is STILL missing I'll have to check it out.

Yes this originates in TTW_OutcastTrading, its an experimental plugin that makes the custom barter menu for the outcasts, but it uses some pretty dirty workarounds. If you are uncomfortable with the experimental nature, I'd shut it off and Casdin will go back to in-dialog trading as per FO3.
