Minimal Draw Distance Issue

Post by Chris Who » Tue Mar 10, 2015 12:33 am

Hi guys, I really appreciate the effort everyone has put into this mod and I've tried for the best of months to get it to work properly. Being pretty new to modding and stuff it took a while to get everything to run without crashing, but then I got this issue. [SEE BELOW]

It made me abandon the mod entirely for months, waited for updates, still same issue. So I'm hoping someone could help me, I'd appreciate it.

Of with the Basics:

Win 7 64bit, 8 gb Ram, Intel Core i5-2430m 2.4 GHz, AMD Radeon 6850m

FOMM v.0.14.11.9

It's Fallout NewVegas with DLC's and Fallout3 GotY, both from Steam.

  • Symptoms (What is it doing vs. What you expect it to be doing)

The draw distance is miniscule, I've tried increasing ingame and outofgame the LOD but there's no change. I tried reinstalling TTW, with no effect. Here's some screenshots:

[This is the first town you oversee in DC when you leave the vault. Notice how I don't move, but the draw distance makes parts of the map dissapear if I move the camera.]

  • What you have already tried?

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling TTW, modifying the LOD values in Game, checked the forums for a solution but couldn't find one. I noticed that most people say there's a possibility that FOMM didn't load the LODsettings but I opened the Texture Files and they are there... What can I do guys?

Solution has been found.

In the /data folder, the Fallout3 - Misc.bsa was missing, the resolution was to manually move the file from the download folder into the New Vegas folder. Issue got solved. Thanks to Risewild and TrickyVein for the answer.

I'm still curious about why

I'm still curious about why it was missing in the first place though. Sorry you ran into trouble.
