Using GECK to remove NV DLC requirments?

Post by Asuna » Fri Jan 16, 2015 10:37 pm

Hello Dev Person,

I have recently decided to get back into Fallout and decided to try out your mod (I previously used RFTCW). However, NV DLC is apparently required which I don't own. I probably can dig out the old installer for RFTCW if necessary but I thought I would pose a question or two first.

1. Would it be possible for me to use the GECK to remove the NV DlC files and is associated requirements? + In what capacity are they used?

2. What advantages does this mod have over RFTCW?

Thanks

No, it's not possible to

No, it's not possible to remove the DLC requirements with GECK. You could do it with Edit, but it would neeevvveeer load. Like, ever.

What advantages does this have over RFCW? This is RFCW. RFCW is this. This is many many many versions more updated than RFCW, which included 2 (or 3) full rebuilds since the last version of RFCW.  In short: any advantage you could possibly imagine, this mod has over RFCW. Get the DLC, you wont be disappointed.

In a word, no.

Every steam sale this last year the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 and Ultimate Edition of NV have been $12 each.

This mod and RFTCW don't even compare, this mod is so far beyond that it would be difficult to provide a list.
