Dogmeat doesn't 'talk' and does not follow you.

Dogmeat doesn't 'talk' and does not follow you.

So, after 'rescuing' Dogmeat and going through his speech tree to recruit him, he becomes a companion as he usually would. After this point, however, I'm not able to talk to him.


His companion wheel still comes up fine (albeit, cannot give him commands~ they stay as whatever they were set as upon finding him, you can't access his inventory) but when choosing to 'talk to' it simply zooms in toward him and exits all menus, going back to letting you play as usual. He doesn't move whatsoever, if you tell him to 'follow' his command changes back to 'wait'.


Have tried reinstalling TTW (using v2.7 currently, FMM that was supplied with the install instructions), disabling all mods other than TTW-necessary, and currently this load order works for everything else in FO3 portion of the game.


Any help would be gladly appreciated..

You've got a really big load order; I would open it in FNVedit and see what mods are touching Dogmeat's dialogue I guess...

So, here's a screenshot of what -looks- to be referencing Dogmeat's files, again, none of the mods I otherwise have installed seem to be doing so... I'm stumped :(

That screenshot is you checking for references to Dogmeat.


You should be checking dialog references in Dogmeat's dialog.

Recruited him and he follows me, and I can talk to him too.

Sadly that doesn't help me much in terms of fixing things.. Same errors are happening with my other half as we both have the same (if not every-so-slightly different) mods and load order.. Still not sure how/where to look to find references to Dogmeat's dialog, tutorials aren't helping me either :/
