Hey there,
I have tried to install this wonderful mod for 2 hours now, but no matter what I did, the installer always aborts at the Fallout 3 Sound building process.
I think its best if I gave you a quick recap of what I've tried until now:
I downloaded fresh versions of FO3 and NV from Steam, both GOTY with all DLCs, and installed them. I live in germany, but my Steam is set to english, and both games are in english and have english voice output.
I installed Net Framework and Visual C++ 2005, 2008 and 2012 both in x64 and x86, the 2010 version informed me that I can't install it, since the 2012 one was already installed.
After that, I downloaded the Alpha, unpacked it in a folder called TTWI on (C:), ran it and chose an install folder on (C:) called TTW. I don't know if its important, but I had to manually select the FO3 directory.
The installer began its work, but always crashed at the "Building Fallout 3 - Sound" part.
I tried renaming the BSAOptx32 into BSAOptx64, verifying my game cache on Steam and redownloading both the Alpha aswell as the two Fallout games.
As for my PC, I'm running Win7 Home Premium, my processor is an Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93 GHz, I have 4 GB RAM and I'm running a 64bit system.
I'm growing pretty desperate here and would really appreciate some help, because I have to admit I'm kinda retarded when it comes to technical problems...
