Unable to patch Anchorage.esm

Post by Anatriax » Wed Jun 03, 2015 12:13 am

Sooo. I'm trying to install TTW, I have up to date, english versions of both games. FO3 is GOTY Retail (downloaded official patch from Bethesda) and FO:NV is Steam.

I keep getting an error that says my version of Anchorage.esm cannot be patched, this is irregular.

I got the same thing after I

I got the same thing after I cleaned the FO3 files with FO3Edit. You need to leave the files from FO3 dirty (Validate the game files from Steam properties) and don't clean them before you run TTW. That was my problem and it stopped on Anchorage too. It seems that TTW cleans up the files as it converts them to NV files. I think somewhere in the FAQs it says not to clean them. I did check everything with NVEdit after the conversion and cleaned up my NV files and checked the converted FO3 files but they were all clean.

Just saw you had the GOTY

Just saw you had the GOTY boxed version and downloaded the updates. I would re-install FO3 and apply all the updates but don't run FO3Edit on it at all. If that doesn't work just re-install FO3 and don't apply updates and try running TTW. I think you should be safe with the updates though, they shouldn't be any different than the updates applied to the Steam version.

Don't clean your files

Don't clean your files anyways, Fallout != Skyrim.

Yeah, that's what I did :3 I

Yeah, that's what I did :3 I figured that out.

Now I have a totally new problem:

I've followed all directions for the 4gb enabler, put d3d9.dll into the "exes" folder. The game shows ENB as running, but I'm not seeing any of the effects, other than the pallette.

DOF, AO, Detailed Shadows, Sun Rays, Sun Glare... none of it works. Not with TTW, and not with standard FO:NV.
