Installer Can't Build Fallout 3 - Meshes

Post by PirishLad » Mon Jul 21, 2014 4:04 am

Hey guys. So, I downloaded the installer, ran as administrator, followed the instructions, all that stuff. But I consistently get the same error every time I try to install.

I have the English Versions of Fallout 3 GOTY and Fallout: New Vegas, each downloaded from Steam.

  • What I've tried so far (not necessarily in order):

  1. Reinstalling both games.

  2. Verifying both games' cache's

  3. Replacing BSAopt x64.exe

  4. Checking if anything is read-only

  5. Setting everything to automatically run as administrator

  6. Adding full permissions to everything

I think it's worth noting that I played 2.4 in the past with no problems at all. Thanks, guys.

Move the installer to a very short path, like C:\TTW, instead of in your Steam folder.

The checksums are failing because either BSAOpt didn't extract files successfully or the installer couldn't find the patches -- both issues possible with very long paths.
