NMM issues with ToTW

Post by geebers » Tue Jun 24, 2014 4:19 am

  • System Specs (including Operating System, Processor, and Memory, nobody cares about your graphics card)

  • windows 7 64 bit, intel core i5-2500k @ 3.3 GHz, 8 gb DDR5

  •

  • Mod Manager and Version

  • NMM v 0.50.3

  •

  • TTW Install Log: Attached

  •

  • Current Load Order (Most mod managers have a quick and easy way to export this):

  • FalloutNV

  • Fallout3

  • CaravanPack

  • MercenaryPack

  • TribalPack

  • DeadMoney

  • HonestHearts

  • OldWorldBlues

  • LonesomeRoad

  • GunRunnersArsenal

  • BrokenSteel

  • Zeta

  • PointLookout

  • ThePitt

  • Anchorage

  • TaleofTwoWastelands

  •

  • Symptoms (What is it doing vs. What you expect it to be doing)

  • Whenever I enable Tale of Two Wastelands, the game will not load. This is the same for my old saves and new games. I am forever looking at the roulette loading wheel. I think this may be a problem that NMM didn't install it correctly, so a manual install **may** fix the problem.

  •

  • What you have already tried?

  • Redownloading NMM, unloading all DLC with just FO3, FNV, and Tale of Two Wastelands. You can see the latest error that I received when trying to install it using NWW attached.

Additionally, we'd like to have some information on your specific version of Fallout 3:

  • Steam download game of the year

Check again, you've missed an important point ;)

This thing you've missed is something that you should do every time you install a mod.

A very simple thing, a step that you have to follow.

Try to compare your first post and the instructions you will find on the Alpha Download page.

You will find everything you need with just a bit of reading.

I'm not a team member but trust me, if JaxFireHart decides to help you this way, he has his reasons.

Take your time, step by step and you will find out for sure.

As I said above, a manual install did not work. When I said that I tried all that stuff in the FAQ, I actually did.

You are getting the object

Post by JaxFirehart » Tue Jun 24, 2014 10:09 pm

You are getting the object disconnected error after a manual install? How is that even impossible.

Edit: After rereading your post I realized I missed the infinite loading screen problem. Why do you have a picture of one error and ask for help with a different one?

The solution to your problem is STILL on the download page though, as Manos keeps trying to tell you (he was right the whole time). In interest of speeding you on your way, here is a link to the specific step you got wrong.

I should have said something

Post by geebers » Tue Jun 24, 2014 10:35 pm

I should have said something but I updated my load order after you said read the FAQ in your first post.

The object disconnected was with the NMM install, I didn't get that when I tried the manual install.

I am going to uninstall it from my Nexus mod manager and try to install it over again. I am worried that since I still have all the files from the manual install it won't work correctly, but I think it is worth a try.

Thanks for the help, hopefully this will fix my problem.
