missing meshes/textures, including the train station in columbus circle

Post by FMAfan » Tue Jun 03, 2014 8:11 pm

I've been toying around with TTW for about a week now. The first time I tried to install it with NMM but it kept crashing on install, so I installed it with FOMM and it seemed to work just fine. In Megaton a lot of the bridges and walkways were missing and had those red exclamations in their place. Not a big deal, I could still get around. The super mutants' skins were missing too. Their armor was there so they weren't completely invisible, so I didn't sweat it. Now I'm trying to get to new vegas from the capital wasteland and I've run into a game breaker.

It looks like the entire train station in Columbus Circle is a wall of red boxes. I've attached a screenshot. I assume this is supposed to be the station, since I can't find it anywhere else in the area. Obviously there's nothing there for me to interact with so I can't get to the Mojave. What can I do to fix this?

Specs: Intel i5-4670 @ 3.4 GHz, 20 GB RAM, Windows 8.1 64 bit

FOMM 0.13.21

Load order and install log are attached.

FO3 is the GotY Steam download, build 252141

NV is the standard version Steam download with DLC's added later, build 33972

I've attached and installed all the patches that were listed in the download section, except for TTW_StashPackOptions.esp which causes my game to crash on start up.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Uninstall TTW with FOMM. Delete the files your installer made, and run the installer again. Build everything from scratch. Something went wrong and you shouldn't use those files.

I uninstalled TTW main and optional files, deleted them, and made some new ones. Now when I try to install the main file it says that it's installed and activated but it doesn't show up in the load list or in the data files. Also, trying to install the optional files for TTW results in an error saying "TTW must be installed first." The game crashes on start up now.

If it says it's installed and activated you didn't uninstall it with FOMM properly. Find the TTW files in FOMM's package manager list. Right click and click delete. Then attempt to install the new FOMODs you've created.

Add FOMod -> double clicked

Add FOMod -> double clicked the FOMod file the installer created ->  Yes to create copy of original file -> Select TTW Main files -> Activate -> Confirm overwrite (.bsm files), yes to all -> Confirm overwrite (mod wants to modify keys), yes to all -> Mod was successfully installed, OK -> still doesn't appear in the data files or load list. TTW Optional won't install because TTW Main isn't there. What did I do wrong?
