Changing race, losing carry weight.

I'm forced to change race temporarly for the broken steel add-on to start (otherwise i'm just standing there in the purity room) but it causes my carry weight to drop from 285 to 200. any way to stop that from happening?

Changing your race wrecks your stats, in particular your perks. You have to reapply all of your perks to get their effects again. This is just how the game works, as changing your race is only supposed to happen twice.

Don't know about Broken Steel freezing you, though, haven't gotten that far in the story yet. I'm thinking that there's some different console controls to solve that, though.
