Lots of bugs after traveling to Nevada

Post by Poopbutt » Mon Mar 31, 2014 11:12 pm

I'm having a problem with TTW, I just took the train to Nevada, got in goodsprings and the following occurs :

-The Doc will not stop talking to me when I'm in the area, 2 secs after dialogue has ended he returns on his way to me, does not stop until he has talked to me and it repeats all over again.

-Textures mess up, even though I'm wearing Joshua Graham's armor, I'm in my underpants, with invisible skin and my underpants changes textures when I walk or toggle pipboy light, it becomes a Sunset Sasparilla Boxers, gravel boxers, plain red boxers, ...

-Some of those red exclamation mark things show up in the Prospector saloon, they're supposed to be Sunny and something else, also when Sunny draws a weapon, it's also a red exclamation mark. I think I can see her mouth/teeth floating though but that's all.

-ESC Button does not function anymore

-All dialogue and inventory is now one line with all text scrambled on top of each other and unselectable

I have no idea what to do, everything was working perfect in the first half, I spent 5 hours to get to Nevada and then this starts.

Here's muh load order.

Can't find relevent posts on the forums here and I'm hoping someone could help me.

I'm assuming it's a mod conflict, perhaps related to the pipboy remover ?

This mod makes it not appear on my arm but it appears when I press the button to show it, Doc Mitchell doesn't give it back to me after I exit his house and as soon as I just touch something in the ingame MCM from the pipboy remover, it gives it back to me, so I don't really mind this but maybe it's still messing something up that's supposed to happen.

Problem is that if I disable this mod, I go to Nevada and this still occurs, and everytime I press the button to show my pipboy, it shows my arm and nothing happens because I can't go into my inventory or anything, and I can't re-add it with the MCM because the mod is disabled.

Maybe it wouldn't happen if I disabled the mod prior to traveling but I don't have a save without that remover active, and it would take me at least another 5 hours to do this thing all over again to get to the train and everything and it might still not work ( or it might but at the moment I don't feel like 5 hours of this all over again, maybe later ). Now I don't mind Doc Mitchell wanting to keep talking to me, I can just leave his house, he doesn't have to give me a pipboy if I can already add it myself, but there's still the problem of the missing textures on Sunny or something and the ESC not functioning and the text of all dialogue and inventory things being on a single line and unselectable.

Where do I start ? I have no idea what to do now.

attach load order as .txt

attach load order as .txt file please, and add your install log.

As a forewarning, your game is probably totally trashed. No matter how good this thread gets, you should probably reinstall everything.

What do you mean by 'Totally Trashed' ?

Everything was working perfect before I installed TTW, and I never even had a single crash or error.

Load order as text is attached, and I don't have an install log from TTW and no idea how to get it.

"ESC Button does not function anymore"

"Everything was working perfect before I installed TTW"

Maximum kek achieved. It looks like you're going to be one of those people.

FYI, you probably should've installed TTW onto an unmodded FNV install.

Install log is at "My Documents\My Games\TaleOfTwoWastelands"

It looks like you're going to be one of those people as well. :^)

Seriously though, whatever you think of me, I don't mind, I'm gonna redo the whole thing tomorrow from scratch, and I have no intention to stop until it works as it should.

Here's the install log, a lot of files not found, no idea why.

Would like to hear suggestions though, if nobody has a solution then I will start clean.

Afaik the missing voice files

Post by plumjuice » Tue Apr 01, 2014 12:30 am

Afaik the missing voice files the installer freaks out about dont matter. I don't recall why of the top of my head.

If you still have the fomods, dont re-run the installer. Reinstall FNV and then activate the TTW fomod and then see how your save looks.

To be clear, TTW does nothing to inhibit your ESC menu. Your claim otherwise most assuredly put you in the those people category.

Also, if you're gonna greentext it, u aint no betr.

By my count, thats ~145 plugins.  I think you're hitting the plugin limit.  I know it may seem weird that it worked for so long, but the plugin limit doesn't seem to cause problems when you're not in the New Vegas world space (or any vanilla building).  I've noticed this on the offical DLC, as well as mods like Beyond Boulder Dome.  Try unchecking a few mods, and see if the problem occurs again.

TTW is a massive project that effects many aspects of FNV if done as prescribed it is very stable. this is much more than a mod and should be treated as such. what i suggest is a total do over start with a clean slate. start with TTW and work around it in regards to the mods your using. search this site. there are a ton of high end great mods that have been converted for use with TTW. trust me with TTW and the mods available here you really dont need a lot of mods to have a full rich game.

kek? what does that mean?
