TTW freezes on startup

Windows 8 is a whole nother bag of worms, and I don't think any of the team has it to be able to test for problems.

I was supposed to be broken steel, the key spacing on the key board is terrible. I am trying with the steam version of fallout 3 goty (had to change as one of the disc is completely ruined). The steam version seems more stable, is deffinatly patched and the install seems to be taking longer and finding more items.

For what it's worth, someone on morroblivion messaged me and said that "removing the .lodsettings file in the Point Lookout .bsa" fixed this problem. It seems to be another issue related to which version of Point Lookout you have.
