Ammo Types not holding when re-equiping specific weapons

I have been playing a grunt build lately, and I have run across a bit of a weird "bug". Some weapons (FO3's assault rifle, Chinese assault rifle, and NV's Light Machine gun) do not hold their ammo type loaded upon being unequipped and come back with the base ammo loaded upon re-equip



eg: unequip an assault rifle loaded with AP 5.56mm and re-equip it and will have base 5.56mm back in its mag.



I normally play sniper / energy weapon builds so I have never looked too deeply in to lead thrower automatics.


Does anyone know what may be causing this, or does anyone know the mechanism the game uses to normally remember the ammo type? I'd look in to it but I don't know where to start looking.

interesting. its weird, because some weapons like the service rifle, 10mm pistol and most energy weapons hold their ammo types for me. i wonder if its a part of another mod that does it... i've played with the same load of mods for so long it feels wrong when it doesn't work :p if this is stock behavior then disregard my question :)



unless someone can chime in with what mod may be holding on to the ammo values. that would be amazing :)

Maybe it's Project Nevada or something else, but my game remembers the ammo between swapping guns, but NOT on loads. I can switch ammo, switch to something else, switch back and have the right ammo, but if I save and reload, it has the default ammo.
