Mod Manager: Wrye Flash NV 15.5.

I'm playing TTW since the version 2.2 and I have currently the version 2.4a installed and perfectly working.

I completed Fallout3 main quest and I'm currently in Broken Steel. I received from Paladin Tristan the quest to enter Old Olney Underground to find the Tesla Coil.

The problem is that the ladder in Old Olney sewers is not visible.

I was playing modded game so I did the following trials:

1) Disabled all MODs except the ones from TTW (in the recommended load order as described before).

2) reloaded a save before the completion of previous quest (dead from above).

3) called the console command "PCB" to purge the cell buffer.

4) started the quest (shock value) by entering the proper dialogues.

5) travel to Old Olney (by using "movetoqt" console command).

The ladder is still not visible. I can reach it by using console command TCL but it seems that the wall covering it that shall be removed when you start the quest is not removed.

I've also loaded my load order (the complete one including all the mods that were activated before) in FNVEdit and checked if some esp overwrote the cell or the qest scripts relevant to Old Olney Undrground bt no other esp did it except from Fallout3, Broken Steel and TaleOfTwoWastelands.

May I ask your support to understand if it is a problem of my installation?

I've tried and tried several possible solutions with GECK and Wrye Flash (load order, cell editing...) but no result.

At the end I've tried in FNVEdit the following:

1) Created a merged patch with TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm selected.

2) make a deep override copy of cell\block3\sub-block3 of BrokenSteel.esm into the merged patch.

This fixes the problem. I really do not know what was the cause but I'm happy to have solved the problem. The strangest thing is that FNVEdit reported no modifications of the cell block3 by any other MOD apart TTW...

EDIT:

sorry if I add something (seems that I'm the only one participating in this thread) but I simply wanted to point out that, with the new TTW version 2.6.3a, the patch I made as described in the post above is no more needed.

Seems that something was fixed also for this point in th new version! Thank you!

Thank you,

JD

Can't really comment on the topic as I can't remember the last time I played long enough to do any BS, but I fixed the triple post for you. You can edit your previous post if you have something to add.

BS has always had some "Quirks" even if playing strictly vanilla on console or PC. It may have just been one of those bugs. Glad you got it fixed.

If life is but a test, where's the damn answer key?!?!?
