"Your version of TaleOfTwoWastelands.bsa cannot be patched. This is abnormal."

Post by DeepFriar » Tue Mar 25, 2014 7:07 am

As the title states, when I attempt to install a Tale of Two Wastelands, the installer continues until the final point, and the last messages are:

[25/03/2014 5:55:47 PM] Patching TaleOfTwoWastelands.bsa...

[25/03/2014 5:55:47 PM] Your version of TaleOfTwoWastelands.bsa cannot be patched. This is abnormal.
I have re-downloaded the installer, deleted and re-installed both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and run the installer in administrator mode, however this doesn't seem to resolve the issue. As such when I run NMM (or FMM) there is no Tale of Two Wastelands loaded on the mod manager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an install log at all?

Do you have english versions FNV and FO3?

Do you have UAC set to anything that might interfere with the installation?

Do you have up to date drivers and libraries?

Also, when you uninstalled FNV did you make sure to delete all the TTW stuff?

EDIT The install log is located in "My Documents\My Games\TaleOfTwoWastelands"

And do you have the legal versions of Fallout 3 (GOTY) and Fallout New Vegas (UE)?

Hi,

Hi,

Sorry, it seems that after wiping both fallout 3 and New Vegas twice over, the patching issue ceased to exist.

Trial and error I suppose?
