Radio problems

Post by Wolfremio90 » Sun Jul 06, 2014 6:36 pm

Hi,

I've been having problems with some radios in TTW for a long time, basically, nothing plays, it's like the game it's not loading up the necessary files, the specific radios are the enclave radio and wernher's distress signal, the first one is not that serious, but if I don't listen to it the Pitt DLC's main quest doesn't start (IIRC).

I'm also having problems with 2 mod radios, the Vocaloid radio ported from FO3 and from the Old Word Radio, the "French Connection" one, I disabled these to try and see if the issue was related and it wasn't, enclave radio and the distress signal weren't playing still.

I've tried everything I've seen related to radio problems; installing this and that codec, updating my integrated sound card's drivers, checking if the sound files were actually there (they are), and I'm at a loss. Any leads?

OK, sorry, didn't know the rules.

Anyway, I solved it already, I'm leaving this here for people looking for people having the same problem in the future:

I was running TTW alongside the PN Convergence mod, which means I had FOOK NV and PN enabled. The problem was in both FOOK files (ESM And ESP). I opened them with FNVedit and in both, there was a quest reference overriding the ones for the Tenpenny Radio and the Vault 101 Distress Signal. Deleting those references (named "Chicken" and "Egg") solved all my radio problems, even the ones from other radio mods like CONELRAD and the Old World Radio, which also weren't working correctly. Hope this serves anyone of help.
