OK your install is good, the installer did its job perfectly. So the files it created are perfect. If I had to guess, I would say it is an ini issue. I don't have any more ideas.

Never mind, it was a lack of common sense on my part that caused me to miss out a service pack for my computer. It works fine alright.

That's just disabling and enabling controls, it's not a fix. You've basically just told people "Disable all the controls that are enabled, and enable all the ones that are disabled."
