Runtime crash shortly after leaving vault 101

Post by mehow1296 » Tue Jul 16, 2013 2:09 am

When I am about to enter Springvale, I begin to recieve the DLC pop-ups, and a few seconds after I get my second one a runtime error appears that states the my falloutnv.exe has encountered an error.

This is my first time running TTW so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it consistent or did it

Post by CDTalmas » Tue Jul 16, 2013 6:02 pm

Is it consistent or did it happen once/twice?  Fallout has always been... edgy and full of memory issues and the like.  Consider running with the 4GB Enabler, as that tends to help fix up problems.  Other than that, your load order is impeccable and clean.  No other mods running whatsoever, correct?

Always make sure the crash is

Always make sure the crash is reproducible. Also, I'm pretty sure that bash and NMM can export load order as a txt file for ease of use.

Clarification is also important. The more info you give, the higher the chance someone can help you.

Did you install TTW on a clean install of NV?

Did you make any ini tweaks?

Did you have any issues installing?

Are you sure your libraries are up to date?

What operating system do you have?

This happens every time I enter Springvale, or get close to entering the town. I installed TTW on a clean install of NV, and I have not made any ini changes.

The installation took a while but other than that I had no problems with the install. I made sure my libraries were up to date before the installation and I am using windows 7.

And @CDTalmas No I have no other mods running other than those listed.

What about system specs? TTW

What about system specs? TTW takes almost double the RAM and can be more intensive on your graphics card in DC than either NV or FO3 were.

Intel quad core Q9550, 4 GB

Intel quad core Q9550, 4 GB of RAM, and an AMD 7960 GHz edition video card.

Before I purchased the AMD card, I used a Nvidia 250 gts and I was able to run TTW 1.4 with no issues, since then i've uninstalled both TTW and my fallout games and I reinstalled them a few days ago.

Edit: If anything I might try reinstalling NV and F03 and trying TTW again.

I would try a reinstall and hope it works better. Those specs are a bit low, especially RAM, but I don't see them really being a problem.

So I reinstalled NV and I ran

Post by mehow1296 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 1:39 am

So I reinstalled NV and I ran it to get my ini all setup and everything, and out of curiosity I loaded the latest save. Apparently deleting NV didn't remove TTW, and as i walked into Springvale the first thing that I received was the popup about the courier stash packs. After I received them everything continued to go along smoothly.

It appears that the problem was with the couriers stash, and not the devious eyebot. Thanks for all the help guys. However, should I do a clean reinstall of TTW to be safe, or can I get away without that.
