Installation Problems

Post by Thatdumbpolak » Sun Jun 30, 2013 10:05 am

I know this gets posted alot on this forums, but i have a clean install of both F:NV and FO3 and started the installation patcher. The black command prompts have been popping up but the patcher screen is not responding. The problem is that it has been running for about 6-7 hours. I run a pretty low spec pc would that possibly be the problem? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

While that is far longer than what should normally be expected, it doesn't sound like anything tragic is happening. Wait it out and report back later.

Or since it's posted so often pick the thread that's closest to your problem and read through it. That's pretty much exactly how this thread's going to turn out.

Great, thanks. One more added question, i reached the DLC Bsa's and it said that Point Lookout and Zeta Main and Music BSA's could not be found/extracted. I really don't want to repeat this 12 plus hour install. Is it essential to the mod running? Or can i just not play those two DLC's and be fine? Thanks again!

It is essential, but the installer will not have to run the WHOLE process again. It detects what you already have and only builds what it needs to. What, exactly, was the error?
