TTW installtion problem.

Post by arosacker25 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 6:44 am

Hello, I've had to reinstall ttw because of some issues with mods, but when I install it, i get a message telling me I'm missing the msvcp100.dll file, and I've already installed Visual C++ 2012 64. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have both the x32 and x64 bit versions of Visual C ++ if your operating system is a x64 bit one smiley.

Thank you. That problem seems to be fixed. However i have another one. Sometimes when i start the install, i see the cmd pop up and it tells me the meshes are installing. So i went to sleep and 7 hours later it was still stuck on it, so i restarted my computer and all it had on the temp install file was the sounds. Any suggestions on how to help with that? It just seems like it doesn't do anything sometimes. I can't tell if it's actually doing anything or not

7 hours seems ridiculous, what are your system specs?

All I can see is keep on restarting the installer. It will detect current progress and pick up where it left off. If it got as far as sounds I can assume it is at least done with the Main bsa.

Yeah still no luck. It just seems to not want to do anything. All i see in the temp install is sounds and i try to restart and it seems to freeze up. I have c++ 2012 86 and 64. along with 2010 sp1 x64. I still don't know what to do. Is there a way to manually install this?

Not really, unfortunately, I got one last idea, try deleting BSAOpt_x64 and renaming BSAOpt_x32 to BSAOpt_x64

Alright I'll try that. Thanks for that Jax. Maybe a manual install in a future update would be nice. You guys are doing great! I appreciate you are bringing this idea of two wastelands back to life. It must have been not easy at all.

Okay now It is saying an unhandled error has occurred in the application. I click continue and it says extracting fallout misc but no cmd pops up. Idk. I guess I'll just wait until the next update. Thanks for the help
